Whether you’re heading to a big competition or gearing up for a local event, being organised is everything. From the tack room to the lorry, having the right essentials to hand can make all the difference between a smooth run and a stressful day.
With eventing season officially in full swing and Badminton Horse Trials just around the corner, here’s our go-to checklist of eventing essentials - the items riders reach for time and time again.

- Overreach boots – For extra protection and a must-have to prevent pulled shoes
- Saddle pads – Do you need different pads for dressage and jumping? Always pack a spare (just in case!)
- Stud kit – Essential for jumping on grass, especially in unpredictable ground conditions when riding cross country
- Specific tack - Do you use different bridles. saddles or bits across the 3 phases?
