TopSpec FibrePlus Cubes - 20kg

They are exceptionally high quality, high-fibre cubes that are cereal-grain-free, very low in starch and sugar, and ‘Non-Heating’. They also contain good quality protein to support muscle function and repair, helping to avoid the ‘fat but not fit’ situation common with low-quality high-fibre cubes. No straw is included in these cubes.

The highly digestible fibre in FibrePlus Cubes feeds the beneficial bacteria in the hindgut, promoting a healthy digestive system. Fibre digestion produces a ‘warming’ effect in the hindgut, which is beneficial in cold weather, especially for older horses.

FibrePlus Cubes can be fed dry or soaked in cold or warm water for about 20 minutes to achieve the desired consistency. Soaking is useful for elderly horses, horses with dental issues, or those that bolt their feed. Approximately 1kg of FibrePlus Cubes will replace 2kg of meadow hay for most horses.

FibrePlus Cubes are particularly useful when long or chopped forage is not possible, or when a low-calorie, high-fibre cube is desirable.

FibrePlus Cubes are suitable for:

• Horses and ponies that cannot chew effectively, such as the elderly. They provide a complete source of pre-ground fibre when fed with TopSpec Senior Feed Balancer.
• Horses and ponies prone to laminitis, as a safe, very low-calorie maintenance feed.
• Good doers, as a very low-calorie feed, ideal for snack balls.
• Sharp or ‘fizzy’ horses, or young horses in training, as a reassuringly ‘Non-Heating’ feed.
