Dengie Alfa-A Oil is a high-energy conditioning fibre feed designed to fuel horses and ponies in work, support weight gain and promote exceptional condition, coat shine and overall wellbeing.
Made from pure chopped alfalfa with a light rapeseed oil coating, Alfa-A Oil provides 12.5MJ/kg of digestible energy from fibre and oil, comparable to many conditioning feeds but with around 10 times less starch. Read more
It is naturally low in starch at just 2% and contains no added sugar or molasses.
The high oil content provides slow-release energy while supporting healthy skin and a glossy coat. Alfa-A Oil is also independently approved by BETA as suitable for horses and ponies prone to Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome when fed as part of a balanced diet.
As a straight feed, it should be supplemented with a suitable broad-spectrum vitamin and mineral supplement or balancer. It can be fed dry, dampened with water or combined with a soaked feed such as Dengie Alfa-Beet Mash.
